É o único álbum dos Beatles que possuo no original (em vinil), e é incontestável que possui magia. É certo que foi sobrevalorizado, e nem deve ser o melhor álbum deles - o álbum branco parece-me superior. E os Velvet Underground já existiam. Mesmo assim, contém músicas fantásticas, entre as quais a minha preferida, que partilho convosco.

O verso "and like flows on within you and without you" é simplesmente inacreditável. É das melhores passagens da música pop de sempre. E para melhorar ainda mais esta pérola, existe a versão dos Sonic Youth, gravada em 88 e que vai ser editada pela primeira vez num álbum deles na reedição do Daydream Nation na próxima semana. Eu ja a conheço há muitos anos e é incrível.

E sobretudo já existiam os Pink Floyd, bem conhecidos dos Beatles, com quem partilhavam os estúdios de gravação. Basta ouvir o The Piper at Gates of Dawn para perceber de onde vem aquela aquela roupagem psicadélica do Sgt. Peppers.
